Over the last two and half years I’ve been living through a full-scale home renovation — managing the project myself, working hands-on alongside trades, juggling budgets, dealing with planning, coordinating builders and suppliers, living on site with my young family throughout and keeping a demanding job in the process.
Like most homeowners, I started out optimistic and motivated — but quickly realised how complex, time-consuming and expensive renovation projects can become with the many variables at play. Even though I’m practical and knowledgeable, having started my property journey self-renovating a Victorian property with my Dad, when you’re constantly juggling, even when you think you’ve got everything sussed things will inevitably crop up.
Along the way I made mistakes, lost time, learned powerful lessons, and discovered better ways to plan, sequence and manage a renovation. RenoBud was created so you don’t have to repeat those same painful learning curves.
